Sailing World's college rankings are determined by an open coaches poll. For more information on the poll, or on how your team's coach can become a part of it, email collegerankings@sailingworld.com.

Well I'm one of the coaches who voted and I always look at all Intersectionals, Stony Burke included, for men and women, as I'm certain most if not all other coaches do as well, it would be irresponsible not to. But some districts are just more powerful than others, and that's the bottom line. Unless all college teams sail against all other college sailing teams relatively regularly (which of course can't happen), it will always be a judgement call to a degree, and may never be truly accurate, though IMO it's pretty good. Either way it's still much better than it was with 3 coaches determining the rankings.
