US Sailing's Rolex Miami Olympic Classes Regatta (Miami OCR) is coming to Miami, FL, January 25-30 and Sailgroove will be covering it live! Miami OCR is the US stop on the ISAF World Cup circuit, a regatta series that gathers together the world's Olympic hopefuls. In the US, Miami OCR is a chance for developing sailors to test their skills against the world's best, and to qualify for US Sailing Team AlphaGraphics.

Classes competing at this regatta include all of the Olympic and Paralympic classes. The 10 Olympic classes are: Laser Radial (women), Laser (men), Finn (men), Men’s RS:X, Women’s RS:X, 49er (men), Men’s 470, Women’s 470, Star (men) and Elliott 6m (women). The three Paralympic classes are: 2.4mR (open, able and disabled), SKUD18 (mixed, disabled) and Sonar (open, disabled).

Sailgroove's live coverage will include daily morning coverage from the host sites: US Sailing Center Miami, Coral Reef Yacht Club, Key Biscayne Yacht Club, Coconut Grove Sailing Club, Miami Rowing Club and Shake-a-Leg Miami. The live show continues with video broadcasting from the race courses, with a different racing circle spotlighted each day. The highlight of the week will be the finale on January 30, when each class holds its medal race. Mimicking the Olympic format, the medal race includes only the top ten boats and its results count double. These races are short, intense, and frequently make the final determination of the medals winners in each class.

Sailgroove's Chris Love and volunteer correspondent Justine O'Connor will be on hand all week long roaming from course to course and strolling through the boat parks to bring you inside the event. The live coverage can be viewed for free on Sailgroove.org alongside a live chat room for viewers. The daily broadcast schedule will be announced preceding the event. On-demand highlights from the day will be available at the end of each day and will be permanently archived on Sailgroove.org.
