Hi all,

I’ve just finished up the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta in Weymouth, where we finished tied for tenth overall, and definitely learned a lot of lessons throughout the week. We got to see a number of different conditions here in Weymouth: had breeze from 0-35 knots, raced on two different courses, and learned hard lessons about preparation and winning your early races. The full writeup is on getsailing.org if you’d like to hear more about it (and attached is a windy day shot taken from the RC boat of us rounding the leeward mark!). Our place here leaves us fourth overall for the Sailing World Cup standings for the year, a position we hope to better into a medal next year! Next up for me is the Melges 24 Worlds and pre-events in Annapolis with Team Simplicity, then the US Women’s Match Racing Championships in St. Thomas in November. Looking forward to some more tough competition at both events!

Best,
Genny
