Thunderstorms lazily passed in the morning, dragging the little breeze
in circles with them forcing us to an on-land postponement to start day
4. It is amazing how different the conditions turned from the day
before, where there was dry 100-degree northerly breeze.
Around 4:30pm in the afternoon the postponement came down (in the
middle of a rainstorm, blah) and we headed out to the course. After
running through the entire cycle of pin settings because the breeze
would not settle down, we finally got a start off in about 18 knots in
the middle of a rain squall. Immediately after the start, the race
committee abandoned and sent us in for the day. Granted it was breezy,
but it was not super windy by any means so it was very confusing why
the called it off. Right when we hit the dock their decision to send us
in became clear, as the wind whipped in at 35-40 knots, causing all
hell to break loose. The racing officials potentially robbed us of one
of the most epic races of our lives, but at the same time probably
saved the life of our old proctor mast.

Day 5 calls for medium breeze from the south, with more sunshine.
