Ok Chris, I see your SailX and I raise you Virtual Skipper: http://www.virtualskipper-game.com/en/. Basically everything SailX is but in 3D. There are 4 default classes and 14 real world locations. It's open-architecture so user-made boats are being added all the time. There are clubs (mostly by timezone region) that organize fleet, team, and match racing, or you can just join public races on the server. There's a free version that lets you race online with full functionality but doesn't let you make courses. Only downside is it's windows-only.

A bunch of ex college sailors and a few others got together and won the team racing worlds last year.
