Thanks for the correction. I guess I should have looked at the numbers a bit more. That's right. It's 27 women's teams total going to San Francisco: 9 teams get automatic berth to finals while 18 teams sail a semifinal round the first day for the remaining 9 spots at finals. I knew something didn't make sense...

i believe only 27 teams qualify for womens and 36. Thus only 9 teams are finished after day 1. I dont think they have enough boats to sail a 27 team regatta the first day

The MCSA Women's quals didn't get enough racing in due to thunderstorms, so the makeup is scheduled for May 10th in Madison.
