Description

This year, the format is pretty funky.  The top finishers at each district qualifier (9 in total) have already qualified for Women's Nationals, to be held May 26-27.  Eighteen other teams from the district qualifiers will compete in a one-day Semifinal regatta on May 25 and the top 9 go on to Nationals.  For all the numbers, see this chart.

I am super proud of the Lady Monarchs. Few people gave them the recognition they deserved coming into this event and they sailed so well. Huge congrats to Jane and Marla from Yale and the rest of the Elis on their victory as well as the rest of the competitors.

And a big thanks to sailgroove for the unprecedented college nationals live coverage. For the people that couldn't be there, the live coverage meant a lot. Thanks for being there Chris and Pat!
GO MONARCHS!!!!!

Congrats Yale

Wow. Stunner of a finish! Shame they didn't get a full rotation in though, but tough with only one fleet.

Why is Yale listed as Elis on ICSA results and not Bulldogs?

Nice DFL-Bullet combo by Yale in races 5A and 6A.

Really no consistency anywhere except for ODU A - Katrina Williams/Alissa Ayres, Ashley Brusso who are killing A with all seconds except for a bullet and a 4th. Amazing performance so far.

Does anyone else find it odd that only 2(C of C and Yale) of the 9 teams that did not sail yesterday are currently in the top 9? Maybe yesterday's sailing was a good preparation for today.
Remember that every conference has automatic qualifiers, so the automatic bids were not necessarily the top 9 teams. But yeah for the rest it just shows that the field's pretty even at the top.
