Description
This year's Singlehanded Nationals, hosted by SEISA at Corpus Christi Yacht Club, should be an epic three days of championship-caliber racingfrom the country's best young Laser sailors. There are two national titles at stake here, one for the men in full rigs and one for the ladies in radials. Corpus provides a comfortable backdrop for this early-November event as compared to last year's regatta, sailed in Ithaca, NY.

Drake is killing it he's currently tied for 11 and will probably take 10 after today's races. Kid is phenomenal and is easily going to be top 5 with a huge threat for number 1 next year

So it looks like SEISA hasn't caught on and started using the new MIT scoring system...bummer. Slow start for Cy and Thomas too.

Let's wish him the best for now.

The US Navy had Cy Thompson sail up and down the Somalia in his laser to stop piracy. The only problem was once the piracy stopped Cy tacked to go home and a tidal wave destroyed the whole country.

RWU 3 years ago

When they enter Cy Thompson’s name into Tech Score the result automatically print out with Cy in first. Once it gave Cy a second and he ran over the MIT programmer with his laser and killed him.

Cy Thompson is so fast that he can sail around the world and then hit his own laser in the stern.

Cy Thompson does not tack on to lifts when Cy tacks the wind changes.

LoveMachine 3 years ago

Cy Thompson does not start at go. When Cy starts it is go.

Mitch Hall doesnt tack....he crosses

Your kidding right? 3 years ago

Not sure how you can bet against Haeger:

1. Never been beaten in a radial by a woman
2. Worst finish in a laser has been second (Both full rig and radial)
3. Never been beaten at a National Championship
My money is on Haeger
I have a photo of AH finishing second on my bookcase..........she is very good but has been beaten over her career by several ladies in this event. Good luck to all.
