Description

Among the most competitive qualifiers for nationals is the NEISA Coed qualifier for the ICSA Semifinals: New England Dinghy Champs.  Eight schools qualify for semifinals, but in this district that's not enough spots for all of the nationally ranked fleet racers, some of whom will have to wait til next year.  Who will win?  Who will qualify?  Just look at last year's regatta and you'll see that in NEISA, it's impossible to tell.

1 - both Sailgroove and Gary Jobson will be in Madison.
2 - I believe Jobson has team racing coverage locked up.
3 - new high speed fiber optic cables have been installed in the hoofers sail drying tower, a campus Wireless IT guy will assist in set up of directional connects.
4 - there are a lot of great vantage points.
5 - webcams of the venue are already set up.
6 - weather buoy in the center of the lake is operational now.
7 - If your in the area, consider sailing in the Alumni Regatta on May 30th during Team Racing. We have a thirty boat fleet of techs to augment the 18 new 420's

Anybody know what's going on this year in terms of nationals coverage? There are only two things that I really want to know:

1. Is sailgroove going to be able to cover everything or does ESPN still have the exclusiverights?
2. Is Gary Jobson still going to be commenting for ESPN assuming they will still be there? (no offense but Gary isn't who should be doing it--it should probably be someone who, not only knows a ton about sailing like Gary, but who knows a lot more about the current college-sailing scene; the sailors, the happenings of the season, etc. He just turns nationals in to some boring drama completely about the battle between two or three schools "vying neck and neck for the win"--year after year showing only the top two or three boats to round a mark during the races that the teams in his drama win).
