This winter, I told you about SailX, the multiplayer online sailing game that you play on your computer. At the time, there were promises that the game would eventually be playable on mobile phones. It's out now and I've tested it out. If you want to download the free app for yourself, just search "sailx" on iTunes. If you have a smartphone that's not an iPhone, go to this link on your phone: http://www.sailx.com/mobile/SailX.jad
For more info on the game, go to SailX.com

Sry Chris, but this can by far reach up to the standards of the free version of VSK Online (Virtual Skipper). The free version is completely compatible with the full version wrt sailing and sailing performance. The majority of the 153.982 players out there probably have the free version, which only misses a few aspects that the beginner will not need anyway (for studying replays, etc). |

were you using wifi or 3g for this epic race?I was on wifi and had a good connection. It looks like the refresh rate you see here is about as fast as it gets. I haven't played much on the mobile network, but it does work. |

VSK is great for a lot of racing but NOT team racing. It would be if they included a simple boat, NO spinnaker, for team racing that performed and handled like the boats commonly team raced in US or UK...420, FJ, V15, Lark, Firefly, Enterprise, GP14 and so on...the boats currently in VSK are not suitable for team racing...
