This marks the 76th Sugar Bowl regatta that Southern Yacht Club has hosted, just one less that football games held.

This year, Tulane University and the Southern Yacht Club have partnered up again to host this Intersectional on New Years weekend. Schools participating include:

SEISA: Tulane, Oklahoma City Univ, Texas, Loyola/NO, Oklahoma State,
Texas A&M, Louisiana State (no show)
MAISA: Drexel
MCSA: Marquette, Ohio State
NEISA: U/Conn
SAISA: Auburn, U/Miami Wm

Racing is just about done with B doing their last three races. The Conditions throughout the day just got more puffy with gusts hitting 25 kts. The rain did clear up, but there is still a threat for bad weather later.

Hey y'all! Just updating on Day 2 of the Sugar Bowl Intersectional. This morning was rainy with the threat of thunderstorms. Racing started at 10:00 am with breeze coming from SSW at about 10-12 kts. Racing continued with one thunderstorm cell threatening to postpone racing, but it passed quickly.

Conditions for the first 8 races were warm and partly sunny skies. As the morning progressed, the breeze picked up and more clouds were in the sky. The water is relatively flat for the Ponch. The breeze is coming out of the SSE and very puffy and shifty.
