Women's qualifiers are complete and we've got our 27 teams set to compete at the ICSA / Sperry Topsider Women's Semifinals and Nationals. If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check out Tom Charpentier's coverage of Women's New Englands.

This weekend is the ICSA Semifinal Nationals and we've got all the preview analysis you'll need to get ready for the weekend. Be sure to watch out for scores and info at scores.collegesailing.info.

The Semifinals and this fifth season of Chalk Talk are brought to you by US SAILING so be sure to support them and help yourself by picking up a discounted college membership.

Rather than making predictions, which tend to be very similar week in and week out, is it possible to recap regattas and highlight the big performers and strong showings?
By doing this, lesser known sailors/teams can receive the well earned attention.
agreed, hearing about how great BC is every weekend is exhausting

Bart,

You're right! We had an incomplete list in front of us when we did the predictions and somehow forgot Hobart. I guess that happens when you're located way up in upstate New York.
It's too late for Erik and I to change our predictions but I would put HWS finishing around 5th:
1. BC
2. St. Mary's
3. Yale
4. Roger Williams
5. Hobart
6. URI
7. Miami
8. Wisco
9. USF
(10. Eckerd)
There's no bracket challenge this year, but there are certainly bragging rights at stake. What are your picks for top nine?

Bart Smith 1 year ago

Chris, will there be a Semi-final bracket challenge this year? If so, I'm confident that I will beat you and Erik since you both left HWS off the top nine list in the Western Semi-final. I'm assuming you both made a mistake there because those kids are fast!
