St. Petersburg, FL college Team
The Eckerd College Sailing Team is located in beautiful St. Petersburg, FL. The Tritons compete in the SAISA district and are one of the top varsity sailing programs in the south.
We have over 30 team members, and practice in 75+ sunny weather year round! We got a new fleet of 20 FJ's 3 years ago and have access to use of 420s as well. We are recognized by Eckerd College as a Varisty Sailing sport, and one of the top sports programs at the school.
Last Fall, 2009, we welcomed Jesse Combs and Alexandria Boudreau to our program as our coach and assistant coach. So far both coaches have been guiding the team towards doing great things in the future. After last semester alone the woman's team was ranked 6th in the nation.
