The American University Sailing Club Team, founded in 2005, is seen as an up and coming competitive team amongst college sailing. The team participated in the Fall 2008 National Qualifiers of MAISA district, and is growing stronger each year. Mainly focused on dinghy sailing, the team practices on FJÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs and 420s. Practices are held with Georgetown University and George Washington University at the Washington Marina facilities located in Alexandria, VA.
