The 2011 Team Race Midwinters wraps up today with the final four knockout round. To start, the #1 seeded Tannery loungers face #4 Golden Arches while #2 Double Rainbow takes on #3 Who Dat in a best of 3 series. The winners then face off for the championship.

Adam grew up in San Diego, beginning sailing at the San Diego Yacht Club in his sabot named “watermelon.” While growing up Adam enjoyed sailing as much as possible, but also surfed which was a skill that later he would find very helpful for sailing. Adam attended Point Loma High School, where he sailed on the legendary sailing team. While at Point Loma, Adam won a total of six national titles (three team race and three fleet race) and also placed second at single-handed nationals by one point.
Adam went to Boston College and continued to sail as one of the top skippers. He graduated in 2009 with a major in Communications (focusing in Advertising) and a minor in environmental studies.
