While at Boston College, Kamilar helped sail his team to win the Fowl Trophy in 2009 and two National Team Race Championships (2008-2009.) As a senior, he was named to the ICSA All-American list. Now back in Miami, Kamilar is an active Snipe and J/24 sailor.
