Marit had a disappointing finish at this event last year, mainly due to an undroppable fleet+1 for her shenanigans at the end of one of the races. Since then she has skyrocketed in her world rankings, finishing 4th at Hyeres, 6th at Europeans, 4th at Women's Radial Worlds, 3rd at Weymouth, and 1st at Melbourne. She modestly recalls her success and looks ahead to the 2010 Laser Midwinters East.
