The Toby Baker was established at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1989 as the National Team Racing Championship Trophy.  The Baker is named after Mr. Talbot Baker, Jr., who for years served as the Dean of School Coaches.  He was thoroughly dedicated to school sailing and to team racing.  Today the competition for the Baker is rotated among the seven Interscholastic Sailing Association districts.  This year's event will be hosted by Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation, Sequoia Yacht Club, and The Port of Redwood City, California.
