The MISSA Great Lakes Championship is the season ending high school sailing event in the Midwest. Teams consist of student athletes from the same school. Each full team is comprised of a skipper and crew (alternate optional) for A division (double-handed 420); a skipper and crew (alternate optional) for B division (double-handed 420) and a single-handed sailor (Laser Radial). This season, the entry list is capped at 20 teams representing high schools from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Congratulations to the crews of Lake Forest HS who won the Great Lakes Championship by 44 points over Loyola Academy. New Trier finished third, six points behind the Ramblers. LFHS won both B and C divisions while placing second in A division. Also of note, Minnetonka HS and Oconomowoc HS placed first and second, respectively, at the Great Oaks Championship in New Orleans, hosted by Southern Yacht Club. Highland Park HS finished 14th and Marquette HS finished 16th overall.
Entry List - Arrowhead HS, Badger HS, Brother Rice HS, The Culver Academies, Evanston HS, Fenwick HS, Grand Haven HS, Grosse Ile HS (2 teams), Grosse Pointe North HS, Lake Forest HS, Loyola Academy (2 teams), Minnetonka HS, New Trier HS, St Ignatius HS, Traverse City Central HS, Traverse City West HS. Univ. of Chicago Lab, and Wayzata HS.
Entering the final weekend of the season, the top ranked Loyola Academy Ramblers expect to be challenged by the second ranked Lake Forest Scouts. The third ranked and defending MISSA GLC champion New Trier Trevians also look to challenge.
